BASTA urbanism is a boutique urban consultancy with a passion to make healthy and sustainable cities. We strongly believe that the design of our built environment is a key contributor to a happy and healthy urban population. BASTA urbanism was founded in Amsterdam by Bas Horsting in 2010. Bas is a Dutch urbanist and architect with over 15 years of experience with innovative and complex urban projects in the Netherlands and abroad.
BASTA urbanism believes in a collaborative approach, teaming up with small and large organisations from around the world to handle different design challenges. Recent projects include masterplans and development strategies for the Randwick Health Campus in Sydney, MO City in Moscow, the NDSM-wharf Amsterdam and former Philips campus Strijp-S in Eindhoven.
