BASTA urbanism is a boutique urban consultancy with a passion to make healthy and regenerative cities. We strongly believe that the design of our built environment is a key contributor to a happy and healthy urban population.

BASTA urbanism was founded in Amsterdam by Bas Horsting in 2010. Bas is a Dutch urbanist and architect with over 20 years of experience with innovative and complex urban projects in the Netherlands and abroad.

BASTA urbanism believes in a collaborative approach, teaming up with small and large organisations from around the world to handle different design challenges. Recent projects include Winkelsteeg Nijmegen, Nelson Mandelabuurt Amsterdam, Randwick Health Campus Sydney, NDSM-docklands Amsterdam and former Philips campus Strijp-S in Eindhoven.
